Helpful Party Tips
(A few suggestions to help your party run smoother)
Parties in general
1. Balloons are better up on the wall and then given out at the end of the party for children to take home, this way all that hard work you did blowing them up wont leave you feeling deflated (pardon the pun) when the children arrive and burst them all instantly.
2. If parents are staying at the party please encourage them to stay up the opposite end of the room (if possible) to where the children will be playing. This way pushchairs, bags and people wont be a hazard when children are running around.
3. Put a couple of extra tables out for presents and coats.
4. If there will be toddlers present please try to create an extra space for them away from the main play area and perhaps put a few toys out to occupy them. This way they are in a safe environment away from the older children.
5. It's not always easy /practical but where possible try to bring the birthday child to the party venue about 15 minutes before the party is due to start. This way everything is set up for when they arrive and this creates more of an impact for them (especially if you have booked the disco party) Dizzy is able to give better attention to the birthday boy/girl when they arrive too as he will then have on his costume and they are in good time to greet their friends as they arrive.
6. Remember to take a lighter/matches for the birthday cake.
7. Make sure all doors are locked or the safety catch is down so that children and toddlers can't leave the venue.
8. If your having a bouncy castle also, it's best that it's deflated whilst Dizzy is doing the magic show so it doesn't act as a distraction. They are noisy too!!
9. Please let Dizzy know if you have any other suprises for the children during the party so he can plan for it. Pass the parcel or Pinate etc
10. This time of your childs life flies by so take the time to relax and enjoy their special day with them and take lots of photo's / video footage too!!
